Crain’s Detroit Business recently featured the opening of a new patent law firm in downtown Detroit. See ARTICLE. The firm, Bejin Vanophem & Bieneman PC, has leased office space at 300 River Place South, next to the new Elijah J. McCoy U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Detroit’s riverfront. The Crain’s article suggests that the presence of the Satellite patent office maytrigger an increase in patent–related legal work in the area and provide a source of associates experienced in patent examination.
